Week 3, Past Project Report Assessment

The project step for this week- to read a past project report took me through a couple of interesting things done by teachers all over the world. This also gave me a clear insight into how teaching can be made interesting and fun for students .
All the project reports are well -written ones and I have got quite a clear idea about writing a report myself for my final project in future.
Also these reports give an idea about the different teaching and learning styles prevalent all over the world.
I thoroughly enjoyed this week's readings, tasks, and viewing of past project reports.

Week 3 Oral/Aural Skills

Week 3 opened with a lot of excitement along with of course a lot of homework. Well to begin with the most difficult task for a language teacher is to develop and foster Aural/Oral Skills. Aural Skills though are in use all the time but seldom do we pay attention to develop them. Students mostly pay attention to only what is of use to them and the rest is unnecessary for them.
This tendency makes them less receptive and often uninterested listeners and they miss out on details.
The sites proposed are really good and help and suggest some valuable tips for teachers.
The activities suggested are of use for almost all age groups and can be used in supplementation with other things like crosswords, puzzles, songs, worksheets, etc.

Web Searching Week- 2

Found the topic 'Web Searching' very interesting for discussion during week 2. Though I could surf and check only a few sites and search engines. I feel I have a great tool in hands that I can use to foster Language skills in my students.
