Found the topic 'Web Searching' very interesting for discussion during week 2. Though I could surf and check only a few sites and search engines. I feel I have a great tool in hands that I can use to foster Language skills in my students.
I checked a few URL's like idebate.com; tools for teachers.com; poetryamerica.com; found these really helpful. idebate.com opens a number of informative pages dealing with Debate topics which we need every few days to prepare our students for debates and declamations. Passed this URL to my Principal, Colleagues and students.
The other site toolsforteachers.com is also a very good site, where we can create crosswords, puzzles,etc. very quickly and accurately. Really liked it.
The main search engine noodletools is an excellent option and I think my dependence on Google has decreased, henceforth.
